David J Melusky, Esq.

David Melusky joined Jo Anne Hagen as a partner in practice in 2003.                        

Prior to joining Jo Anne, David was appointed and served from 1994 to 2003 by the chief Judge of the Nineteenth Judicial District to act as a District Court Magistrate.  Assignments included presiding over all aspects of divorce cases, all aspects of juvenile delinquency cases, and all aspects of dependency and neglect cases.  He was instrumental in developing the case management procedures that are presently utilized in all civil cases in Weld County District Court.  For a period of time he presided over pre-trial and discovery aspects of all district court civil matters.

David previously practiced law in Greeley, Weld County, Colorado for approximately ten years.  A general practice was developed primarily in areas of commercial law, family law (including divorce, juvenile, dependency and neglect and guardianship and related issues,) general civil litigation and bankruptcy.  He represented litigants in state and federal court in Colorado.

David received his law degree from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and was admitted to the Colorado bar in 1984.  He worked in private practice for ten years, and then spent nine years as a Weld County Magistrate before returning to private practice.   Contact David
